In this day and age, where everything can be stolen quite easily, a person always needs their personal security and documentation protected. This protection can be as small as sealing a packet with important documents to something as large as hiring private security guards to protect an individual physical property.

The process or device which protects against the unauthorized access and can easily be detected in case of tampering of high-security and protected objects is known as tamper evident. There are several types of tamper indicating techniques like seals or bags or markings. The act of deliberate adulteration and/or altering or modification of some protected products or information or packages or system.

Solutions against tamper evident can be involved in any and all phases of production of product, logistics, sale, distribution, use and sale. There is no such thing as a single tamper proof solution. To reduce the risk of reduction of tampering, there are multiple levels of security which can be implemented. The implementation of Tamper Evident Seals can be done for –

•    Improvement of quality of tamper evident seals
•    Education of people to find evidence of tampering
•    Increase length of time required for tampering

In the past, wax seals were used as evidence against tampering. Since then, due to advances in technologies, a lot of different methods have come up so as to put a stop to tampering of security objects and devices. Security technicians at the National Security Agency have developed an anti-tamper holograph or holograms which are extremely difficult to duplicate.
